Heintz Preschool at Agudas Achim was founded on May 29, 2014, and is located in northern San Antonio. We offer an all-inclusive, private preschool program providing exceptional educational child care for children ages 6 weeks through pre-kindergarten. Our program offers engaging extracurricular activities, a nurturing learning environment, and a curriculum designed to promote your child’s cognitive, social, and emotional development, ensuring they thrive during these early, formative years. We also provide flexible scheduling options, including M-F, MWF, and Tues./Thurs., to accommodate your family’s needs.
Heintz Preschool at Congregation Agudas Achim offers:
The core preschool hours are 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, with before and aftercare options available. We accept children ages 6 weeks to five years old. Our curriculum is designed to meet the developmental, social, and academic needs of each child. For our oldest students, we offer a Pre-K curriculum that develops a strong foundation while nurturing the whole child. Experienced and/or certified teachers are in every classroom, and student/teacher ratios are kept at a minimum.
Specialty classes are included in every school day: Hebrew, Yoga, Music, Movement, Motor Skills, Art, Spanish, and Library. The beginning and end of every week are particularly special at Heintz Preschool—we celebrate Shabbat weekly and explore Jewish holidays as they come up throughout the year.
While we embrace Jewish traditions, our program is open to children of all backgrounds. Our inclusive approach fosters a welcoming environment where every child can learn, grow, and experience the joy of community, regardless of religious or cultural affiliation.
